June E. Roxby, 89 of Philipsburg (Decatur Township), passed away on Sept. 9, 2011 at Clearfield Hospital.
Born Sept. 9, 1921, she was the daughter of the late George and Margaret Ellen (Myers) Price.
She was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church in West Decatur, and was affiliated with the intensive care unit funding project with the former Philipsburg State General Hospital. She was an inspector at the McGregor Clothing Factory in Philipsburg for numerous years. Upon completion of her nurse’s training, she worked as a floor nurse and registered nurse for the intensive care unit at the Philipsburg State General Hospital. She was later employed as a registered nurse with the Lee Hospital Community Nursing Service, until retiring.
On Feb. 8, 1941 in West Decatur, she wed Arthur T. Roxby Sr., who survives at home.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers George, James, Walter, Harrison, Robert and Thomas Price; sisters Mary Bock, Thelma Thomas, Mabel Sheriff, Lillian Verost, Iva Peters and Jean Reiter; and step-brothers George and John Cole.
She was the last of her generation.
She is survived by sons the Rev. Arthur T. Roxby Jr. and his wife the Rev. Irene Roxby of West Decatur, Robert Roxby Sr. and his wife Patti of Philipsburg;  grandchildren the Rev. Dr. Arthur T. Roxby III and his wife Allyson of Milford, DE, Christopher S. Roxby of West Decatur, the Rev. Patrick R. Roxby and his wife Karen of Confluence, and Robert J. Roxby of Philipsburg; six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Feb. 10 at 11 a.m .at the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home, 719 E. Spruce St., Philipsburg, with the Revs. Arthur T. Roxby III and Patrick R. Roxby, grandsons of Mrs. Roxby, officiating. Burial will be at Mock’s Hill Cemetery in West Decatur. Visitaion will be held on Feb. 9 from 4-8 p.m. and Thursday from 9-11 a.m. at the funeral home.
