MARTINSBURG — After finding out his team will play another Saturday game in a few weeks, head coach Joey Castagnolo and his Clearfield Lady Bisons loaded up and made the trip to Martinsburg to face off against the Lady Dragons of Central.
It was not the trip they were looking for as the Lady Dragons finished the night doubling up Clearfield, earning the victory by a final of 62-31.
Central had three players get into double figures. Britni Greenleaf led all scoring with 16 points and added 11 rebounds. Lindsey Smith added another 15 points and Sheyanne Patterson scored 11.
The only player for Clearfield to break into the double digits was center Dakota Farmery with 10 points.
Now sitting at a record of 2-12, the Lady Bisons will conclude their three-game road trip on Wednesday as they play at the Lady Eagles of Bald Eagle Area. Tip off is set for 6 p.m. for the junior varsity squads.
The varsity will follow approximately an hour and a half later.
