Obituary Notice: M. Rose Fry

M. Rose Fry 95 of Curwensville passed away Janu. 26, 2011 at the Clearfield Hospital.

Born Feb. 3, 1915 in Altoona, PA She was the daughter of Robert and Lilah (Kester) Snyder.  Rose retired from Lancaster General Hospital where she was a registered nurse for 17 years.   She was also employed by Dr. Brown in Curwensville.   Rose was affiliated with the Curwensville Alliance Church.

Rose is survived by a niece Tammy (Snyder) Godyn and her husband Michael, and a great nephew James (Jim Boy) Godyn all of North Tonawanda, NY, and other nieces and nephews across the U.S.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lloyd Fry, brothers Robert (Dolly), James (Doris), and William (Helen) Snyder, and her sister Ruth (Ralph) Underhill.

Rose was the last member of her generation.

Rose Fry’s life will be celebrated at the Curwensville Alliance Church of Curwensville on Saturday January 29, 2011 at 11:00 AM with Reverend Stephen Shields Officiating. Interment will follow in the Chestnut Grove Cemetery.

Friends will be received at the Church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. till the time of services at 11:00 a.m.
