- Police responded to a two-vehicle accident with injuries at the intersection of Blanchard and Sarah Streets in Osceola Mills. The Sandy Ridge ambulance services assisted officers at the scene.
- Police received a complaint of loitering and prowling at night time in the area of Stumptown Road. The investigation continues at this time.
- Police received multiple complaints concerning theft by deception, where known person(s) reportedly issued checks to local businesses, knowing the accounts were closed or contained insufficient funds. Charges are pending at this time.
- Police received a complaint about a stray dog that was running loose in the area of Fairview and Thumptown Roads. The owner was located and the complaint was handled without further incident.
- Police received a complaint concerning debris on the roadway in the area of Walton Street. The debris was removed prior to police arrival.
- Police received a complaint of harassment by communications. The victim informed officers that he was receiving unwanted text messages and phone calls from a known female. The female was contacted and warned of her conduct by the victim’s request.
- Police are investigating a fleeing and eluding incident, which occurred in Houtzdale Borough. Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on an older model Jeep Cherokee. The driver of the vehicle fled from officers until it stopped directly behind a resident located on the 600 block of Brisbin Street. The person fled from police on foot. Charges are pending at this time.
- Officers received a theft complaint from a Jason Lane address in Osceola Mills. After investigating, it was determined that the matter was civil in nature. All parties involved were referred to the local magistrate’s office.
- Police are investigating a daytime burglary that occurred at a residence located in the 100 block of Sarah Street in Osceola Mills. Unknown person(s) allegedly forced entry into the residence through the front door on Jan. 19. Once inside, they removed an undetermined amount of cash and prescription medication. Anyone with information is asked to contact Decatur Township Police.
- Police responded to a Kate Street address concerning a domestic dispute. Officers handled the incident at the scene.
- Police received a complaint concerning an aggressive dog running loose in the area of Linda Street in the borough of Houtzdale.
