Janet Elaine Noker, 64, of DuBois died Thursday at Christ the King Manor.
Born on July 13, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Gearld W. and Blanche S. (Williams) Overbeck. She attended Shepherd’s Grace Chapel, Falls Creek, where she enjoyed worshipping through sign language.
She retired from Owens-Illinois after 23 years as a custodian. She enjoyed crafting and was an avid fan of the Wizard of Oz. She enjoyed her friends and made her home with her niece, Darlene Lerch of DuBois.
On June 26, 1970, she married Conrad J. Noker Jr., whom preceded her in death on April 17, 2001.
She is survived by two brothers, Daniel Overbeck of DuBois, and Gordon Overbeck of Sykesville; one sister, Darlene Wiley of Columbia City, IN; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Eugene Overbeck and James Overbeck and one sister, Geraldine Joiner.
Friends will be received from 2 – 4 p.m. and 7 – 9 p.m. Monday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home, DuBois.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor Greg Sands officiating. Burial will be in St. Catherine Cemetery.
