Elizabeth Chincharick, age 87, of Houtzdale passed away on January 18, 2011.
Born September 2, 1923, she was the daughter of Joseph and Catherine Witkosky.
Mrs. Chincharick retired from the Moshannon Valley Elementary school in 1988 where she had been employed as a custodian. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Houtzdale and a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas court St. Victoria #646.
She is survived by three daughters, Barbara Solas and her husband Robert of Rahway, NJ, Connie Smeal and her husband Calvin, and Denise Talty and her husband Michael all of Iselin, NJ; a sister, Helen Solas of Brick, NJ; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, David Chincharick; three sisters, Mary, Frances and Josephine; and two brothers, Andrew and John.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church on Monday, January 24, 2011 at 11 a.m. with the Father Robert Horgas as celebrant.
Friends will be received at the Birger A. Freeburg Funeral Home, Houtzdale on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m..
Interment will be held in St. Barbara’s, Brisban, PA.
