Curwensville Man Wanted for Attempted Robbery Taken Into Custody

CURWENSVILLE – A Curwensville man wanted for attempted robbery has been apprehended.

According to the state police in Clearfield, on Monday 27-year-old James Harris III was taken into custody.

Harris and alleged accomplice Daniel Weaver, 21 of Curwensville, assaulted a Mineral Springs man in the parking lot of the Curwensville Commons on Jan. 15. According to police, during the assault, they demanded money from the man, and rifled through his pockets. After the attempt, they fled the scene.

Arrest warrants were issued for both Weaver and Harris.

Anyone with knowledge of Weaver’s whereabouts is asked to contact the state police in Clearfield. Police stated there are two other male suspects, but did not elaborate any further.
