Edith Marie Hadden Anderson, 88, of Roxboro, NC and formerly a long-time resident of Kerrmoor died Monday, Dec. 20, 2010 at the Roxboro Nursing Home.
Born Oct. 2, 1922 in Indiana, PA, she was the daughter of James and Nellie (Johnston) Hadden. Mrs. Anderson was a homemaker, a member of the Curry Run United Methodist Church, the GFWC New Millport Women’s Club and the Susquehanna Grange.
She was first wed to James K. Donald, who preceded her in death. She then wed Kemble Fredrick “Kim” Anderson on Aug. 21, 1959 and who preceded her in death on Jan. 17, 1997. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five sisters and two brothers and one great-grandchild.
Surviving are two daughters, Nancy Crittenden and her husband, Larry of West Decatur and Jeanette Hurd and her husband, Glenn of Milesburg; one son, John Anderson and his wife, Ruthann of Virgilina, VA; nine grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; two brothers, Harry B. Hadden of Smicksburg and James Hadden and his wife, Betty of Arizona; and one sister, Betty Smith of Marion Center.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville, with the Rev. Howard Lindsey officiating. Interment will be in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.
Friends will be received from 9 a.m. until the hour of services Thursday at the funeral home.
