Obituary Notice: Bruce E. Berquist

Bruce E. Berquist, Age 57, West Washington Ave. DuBois, PA died Jan. 06, 2011 at the DuBois Regional Medical Center.

Born on Nov. 9, 1953 in DuBois, PA he was the son of the late Robert C. Berquist, Sr. & Evelyn (Blankeney) Berquist Matula.

He was married to Nancy (Weston) Berquist. She survives. 

He was a crew leader at Owens Brockway Plant 19 in Crenshaw.  He worked for Owens Brockway for 40 years.

He was a 1971 DuBois Area High School Graduate.

He was a life member of the J.E. DuBois Hose Company # 3, and he served as the Fire Chief of the City of DuBois Volunteer Fire Department from 1989 until 1994.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing. 

He is survived by 2 daughters (Molly Adair of DuBois, PA, and Kristen Williams and her husband Brent of Warren, OH) 3 sons (Brent, Chad, and Cory Berquist, all of DuBois, PA) 2 brothers (Robert C. Berquist, Jr. of DuBois, PA, and Thomas O. Berquist of New Bloomfield, PA)  and 3 grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Jan. 7 from 4-8 p.m. & Jan. 8 from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home 

A funeral service will be held on Jan. 8 11 at 1 p.m. from the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home with Pastor Kenneth Sherwood officiating. 

Internment will be in Morningside Cemetery.
