CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney William A. Shaw, Jr. announced Clearfield County’s Fugitive of the Week for the week of Jan. 3, 2011.
Shaw identified the Fugitive as Ryan C. Palmer, 18 of Weber Avenue, DuBois. Shaw stated that Palmer is wanted for failure to appear at a preliminary hearing on Nov. 19, 2010.
On Oct. 25, 2010, Officer Matthew Robertson of the DuBois City Police Department, filed a criminal complaint charging Palmer with: 1) access device fraud, M1; and 2) theft by unlawful taking, M2.
An affidavit of probable cause filed by Robertson states that on Oct. 16, 2010, the DuBois City Police received a complaint of theft from a DuBois resident. The victim relayed that Palmer had taken her debit card. Upon further investigation, it was found that Palmer had made three unauthorized ATM withdrawals using the victim’s debit card.
A preliminary hearing was scheduled for Nov. 19, 2010, at which time Palmer failed to appear for the hearing. A warrant was issued for Palmer’s arrest.
