Police responded to a single-vehicle accident on state Route 729 in Gulich Township, Clearfield County. The driver was reportedly traveling too fast for conditions and failed to negotiate a left hand turn in the roadway. The driver lost control of the vehicle and struck a tree. The operator will be cited for driving vehicle at safe speeds. Police were assisted by the Ramey Fire Department and Houtzdale Emergency Medical Services.
Police responded to an incident of theft at a residence in Curwensville Borough. Unknown person(s) reportedly removed the victim’s black handbag, which contained a cell phone, cash and important documents. The investigation continues.
