Yevonna M. Chaplin, 83 of Philipsburg, passed away on Dec. 20, 2010 at Clearfield Hospital.
Born April 15, 1927 at Numine, PA, she was the daughter of the late Paul & Yevetta (Rudolph) Moore.
On Sept. 2, 1956 in Philipsburg, she wed Frank L. “Chappie” Chaplin, who survives.
She is survived by:
A son and two daughters
Robert Chaplin of State College
Candace Shustrick of New Bern, NC
Tamara Smith and her husband Todd of Boalsburg
And three grandchildren
Marron Cox, Samuel Smith, Ava Smith
She was the last of her generation.
Preceded in death byher parents, sister Betty Kate Brown and brothers Norman Moore and Donald Moore
She was a 1945 graduate of Cowanshannock High School and a 1949 graduate of the Philipsburg Hospital School of Nursing, where she received her Registered Nurse degree.
She retired from the former Philipsburg Hospital, where she was a registered nurse.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Philipsburg.
She was a former member of the Eastern Star.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family at the David K. Dahlgren Funeral Home, 228 N. Centre St. Philipsburg with Rev. Tracie Bullis officiating. Burial will be in the Philipsburg Cemetery. There will be no public visitation.
