Police arrested a 43 year old woman for DUI on state Route 453 in Bigler Township on Friday. The woman stopped at the scene of an accident and began talking with a state trooper. The trooper discovered the woman was under the influence of alcohol and arrested her for DUI.
Police are investigated the theft of three stainless steel animal cages from the Deer Creek Wildlife Care, 33 NW Bay Road, Graham Township. The cages are 6 1/2 feet high and 3 feet square with two separate animal sections.
A 37-year-old man was not injured when his vehicle struck a deer on SR 153 in Boggs Township.
A 50-year-old man from Madera was arrested for DUI when he was involved in an accident on SR 53 and SR 453. The man was traveling South on SR 53 and attempted to make a right turn onto SR 453. His vehicle left the roadway and through yard, striking a parked vehicle in a private driveway. The driver then fled the scene only to be involved in another accident. A passenger in the vehicle, a 46-year-old woman from Madera, received minor injuries. She was transported to the Altoona Hospital byMoshannon valley EMS.
