William N. Wilson, 90 of Philipsburg, PA, passed away on Dec. 19, 2010 at his residence.
Born May 27, 1920 in Hawk Run he was the son of the late Thomas & Grace (Wadsworth) Wilson.Â
On May 9, 1943 at Hawk Run, he wed Mary Louise (Harris) Wilson, who died Oct. 22, 2009.

He attended elementary school in Salamanca, NY and graduated from Morris Township High School in 1939.
He was employed at the A&P for 42 years.
He was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Philipsburg.
He was a Sgt. in the US Army during WWII and served in Puerto Rico, New Guinea, Iwo Jima and Okinawa. He earned the Good Conduct medal with 3 bronze stars, American Service medal, Asia-Pacific Theatre Service medal with 2 bronze loops and the Victory medal.
He was a member of the American Legion John Ashley Dennis Jr. Post 437, VFW Louis P. Jenkins Post 3450, F&AM Moshannon Lodge #391, and a life member of Reliance Fire Co.
Funeral services will be held at the David K. Dahlgren Funeral Home, 228 N. Centre St. Philipsburg, on Dec. 22 at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. William R. Walker officiating. Burial will be at Ashcroft Cemetery, Hawk Run, with full military honors conducted by the Moshannon Valley Independent Honor Guard. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Dec. 21 from 6-8 p.m.
