A Murtland Avenue man told police there was an unwanted man in his house on Dec. 10. The victim indicated that it was his brother who was allegedly attempting to remove belongings from the residence. Officers arrived at the scene and handled the situation without further incident.
A Sykesville woman was waiting to t urn onto Shaffer Road from Maple Avenue on Dec. 10, when a pick-up truck struck her from behind. She pulled over but the truck fled the scene.

A 75-year-old woman reported that she received a phone call from a man who claimed to be her grandson on Monday. She said the man reportedly needed $5,000 wired to him while he was incarcerated in Canada. The woman contacted her son who said he was at work.
On Monday, a 60-year-old Punxsutawney woman was traveling on Sykes Street Extension, when she lost control of her vehicle. Her vehicle traveled off the roadway and into a field, where it overturned. Minor injuries were reported. Her vehicle was towed from the scene.
A 19-year-old DuBois woman reported that she was approached by an unknown male while waiting for a friend in the Shop ‘N Save parking lot. The man reportedly made obscene suggestions. When the woman declined, he left.
