PORT MATILDA – On Saturday afternoon, a single-vehicle accident resulted in “major” damage to a residence located in the 800 block of East Plank Road in Port Matilda Borough, Centre County, the Philipsburg-based state police reported.
According to the accident report, Gilbert Felker, 63, of Bellefonte was traveling north, when he lost control of his 1995 Buick Century. Police said the vehicle exited the eastern side of the roadway before striking a home on East Plank Road.
Felker was not injured as a result of the accident. However, his vehicle sustained heavy front-end damage. The residence had major damage to its flue and foundation, police said.
Police were assisted at the scene by the Port Matilda Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services. Felker was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident.
