Dorothy P. Crissman, 97, of Clearfield, passed away Dec. 7, 2010 at the Mt. Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Clearfield.Â
Born May 29, 1913 in Clearfield, she was the daughter of Wallace and Agusta (Graham) Owens. Mrs. Crissman was a homemaker, had worked at the former silk mill in Clearfield, and was a member of the Mt. Joy United Methodist Church.Â
On May 27, 1938, she wed James T. Crissman who preceded her in death on August 29, 1996. She was also preceded in death by her parents.Â
Surviving are 2 daughters and a son. Linda Winslow and her husband Bob of Rockton, Dottie Evans and John Crissman and his fiancée’ Carol Turner all of Clearfield. Also surviving are 3 grandchildren Robin Winslow and her companion Brady Crain of Osceola Mills, Christopher Evans and his wife Elizabethanne of West Decatur, and Jennifer Evans and her companion Frank Walls and his children Kaylee and Jessica Walls all of Morrisdale, and 3 great grandchildren James Evans of Clearfield, Emily Evans of Morrisdale, and Katelyn Evans of West Decatur.Â
In addition she is survived by a sister Helen Fletcher of Clearfield as well as several nieces and nephews.Â
Funeral Services for Mrs. Crissman will be held at the Mt. Joy United Methodist Church on Dec. 11 at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Ken Leonard officiating. Interment will be in the Crown Crest Memorial Park in Hyde.Â
Friends will be received at the Church on Saturday Dec. 11 from 10:00 a.m. until time of services.
