Police Report: Philipsburg PSP

Police reported an incident of retail theft at 4:50 p.m. Thursday on North Front Street in Philipsburg Borough, Centre County. Ryan Michael Muir, 24, allegedly put on pair of black, Kodiak boots, which were valued at $89.95 and walked out of the Rothrock’s Clothing and Shoes store. A non-traffic citation for retail theft was filed before Magisterial District Judge Allen Sinclair. Anyone with information related to the accused’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Philipsburg State Police at 814-342-3370.
Police reported a single-vehicle accident at 9:34 a.m. Saturday on Beaver Road near its intersection with Steele Hollow Road in Huston Township, Centre County. A 19-year-old Julian woman reportedly lost control of her 1993 Jeep Cherokee when attempting to slow down for a turn on the slippery roadway. Her vehicle struck an embankment and overturned onto its driver’s side door. The woman was not injured and wearing her seatbelt at the time of the accident.
