Norma Jean Barber, age 72, of North Philipsburg passed away on Thursday, December 2, 2010 at the Mount Nittany Medical Center.
Born June 25, 1938 she was the daughter of Mary J. Pryde of Philipsburg and the late Thomas L. Pryde.
She was a 1956 Graduate of the Philipsburg High School and was a CNA and Home Health Aide. She retired from Lee Hospital after 15 years.
On June 26, 1959 she wed Richard A. Barber who preceded her in death in 2008.
She is survived by three daughters, Diane Lynne Mills and her husband Alan of Houtzdale, Lori Ann Nartatez and her husband Jeffrey of Melbourne, FL, Jill Curtorillo and her husband Michael of Philipsburg; a son, Richard Allen Barber Jr and his wife Candy of Philipsburg; a sister, Gayle Doyle and her husband Dan of Atalantic Beach, FL; three brothers, Thomas Rex Pryde and his wife Janet of Philipsburg, Leslie Pryde of Black Moshannon, David Pryde and his wife Shirley of Black Moshannon; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the David K. Dahlgren Funeral Home on Monday, December 6, 2010 at 11 a.m. with the Father Zab Amar officiating.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m.
