Louise Filomena Carfley, 97, of Curwensville, passed away Dec. 1, 2010 at the Ridgeview Elder Care Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Curwensville.Â
Born April 5, 1913 in Clearfield, she was the daughter of John and Frances (Toney) Cillo. Along with her husband, they owned the former Carfley’s Restaurant in downtown Curwensville from 1945 through 1977.Â
She wed Michael Carfley who preceded her in death on Dec. 2, 1987. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a sister Carolyn Barone, a brother Michael Cillo, and a son-in-law Charles Balocco.Â
Surviving is a daughter Mrs. Patricia Balocco of Curwensville, a brother Louis Cillo of Clearfield, and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.Â
A private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Timothy’s Roman Catholic Church in Curwensville at the convenience of the family with Reverend Father Mark J. Mastrian as celebrant. Interment will be in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde, PA.Â
There will be no public visitation.Â
