CLEARFIELD – The Lawrence Township Police Department is investigating a robbery that occurred outside of Burger King along state Route 879.
According to the report, a man went in to Burger King to purchase food. When he left the restaurant and attempted to enter his vehicle, he was struck from behind on the head by an unknown assailant. Money was then removed from his pockets.
The man was knocked out during the attack and awoke a short time later. He told police that he was unsure if a weapon was involved as he never saw his attacker.
The LTPD would like to remind residents to be aware of the surroundings at night and to call police if they notice suspicious activity.
