A 27-year-old Fleming man was arrested for simple assault at a residence on Main St. in Union Township Monday morning at 12:03 a.m. He grabbed a 21-year-old woman by the hair and pushed her onto a bed. He then repeatedly punched her about the body and face causing multiple minor injuries. He was transported to the Central Booking Center at the Centre County Correctional Facility and is waiting arraignment.

Police investigated a two vehicle accident at the intersection of Presqueisle Street and Centre Street Monday morning at 6:35 a.m. A vehicle driven by a 49-year-old man from Houtzdale ran a red light and struck a vehicle being driven by a 20-year-old woman from Morrisdale. There were no injuries.
Two people were injured in a three vehicle accident on state Route 350 Rush Township on Saturday at 1:07 p.m. A tractor trailer was stopped in the North bound lane of SR350 for a flock of turkeys on the roadway. A vehicle driven by a man from Warren, Ohio was stopped behind the tractor trailer. A vehicle driven by a woman from Morrisdale struck the Warren, Ohio vehicle from behind causing his vehicle to strike the tractor trailer. The woman from Morrisdale was transported to the Tyrone Hospital. Her passenger was transported to the Altoona Hospital.
