Dorthy “Dot” Litzinger, 56, of Philipsburg, passed away at 1:40 p.m. on November 26, 2010 at residence.
She was born on Nov. 7, 1954 at Oak Ridge, Knox Twp., a daughter of the late Arthur E. and Mary E. (Nisewonger) Litzinger.
She was Methodist by faith and worked as a personal aid for Helpmates Home Health Care Inc, Clearfield.
Dot is survived by her companion, Marvin Hockenberry of Philipsburg; four children; James P. Blake and his wife Janet, Kim D. Hockenberry, Nicole L. Blake and her companion, Steven Gardner all of Houtzdale and Ronald E. Blake and his companion Jodi Rowand of Ramey; three step children, Tina Beauseigneur and her husband Jim of Osceola Mills, Dale Hockenberry and his wife Leetta of Ramey and Samantha Hockenberry of Philipsburg.
She is also survived by five grandchildren and two step grandchildren; Charles Richards, Tyson Blake, Tyra Blake, Ryan Blake, Aiden Rowand, Tristian Beauseigneur and Cody Beauseigneur.
She is survived by her former husband, Bruce Blake of Houtzdale.
Dot is also survived by five sisters and two brothers; Barbara Auberzinski and her husband Martin of Gallitzen; Vivian Madera and her husband Charles of Grampian; Betty Templeton and her companion Richard Mosley of RD Madera; Rose Quick and her husband Ozzie of Moshannon; Lorey Miller and her husband Kevin of Shawville; Joseph Litzinger of Madera; and Richard Litzinger of RD Madera. A number of nieces and nephew also survive.
Along with her parents, Dot was preceded in death by an infant son, Michael William in Jan. 8, 1973; four brothers, William, Jessie, Thomas and Arthur “Rudy” Litzinger.
Friends will be received on Nov. 30 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on Dec 1 from 9 – 11 a.m. at the Kruise Funeral Home, Inc, Madera.
Funeral Services will be held at the Kruise Funeral Home, Inc, Madera on Dec. 1, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Dennis L. McCracken officiating. Interment will be in the Alexander Cemetery, Madera. Condolences may be sent to; condolences@kruisefuneralhome.com
