CLEARFIELD –The following information is an update for PennDOT’s Hospital Avenue/Dixon Avenue realignment project in DuBois for the week of Nov. 29. All work is weather dependent.
• The contractor will be sealing the new concrete pavement at the intersection of South Main Street Extension and Hospital Avenue. Be alert for changing traffic patterns. The normal traffic pattern will be restored after the pavement has dried.
• The traffic signal at the intersection of Hospital Avenue, South Main Street, Dixon Avenue and South Main Street Extension has been turned on and placed into flash mode. On Wednesday, Dec. 1, the traffic signal will begin running in the normal mode.
• Motorists are advised to watch for slow moving and stopped vehicles through the entire work zone.
The overall project re-aligns Hospital Avenue with Dixon Avenue. Work includes roadway widening, new traffic signals, and improved access to DRMC. The job is scheduled to run through mid-December. SET, Inc. of Lowellville, Ohio, is the contractor on the $4.2 million project.
