State Police in Clearfield arrested a Woodland man for fleeing and eluding police, driving under the influence of alcohol, and numerous summary offenses Friday night.
The man was operating an ATV with a passenger on SR o322 in Lawrence Township. State Police attempted to stop the ATV but the operator refused. Police chased the ATV to a dirt path on Shiloh Road in Bradford Township when the ATV attempted to go around a fence and became trapped on an embankment. While the passenger was being taken into custody, the driver of the ATV broke free from the embankment with the trooper on the rear. The trooper was eventually able to pull the operator off the ATV and take him into custody.
The passenger was arrested for underage consumption of alcohol.
