Police reported an incident of driving under the influence and fleeing and eluding at 1:07 a.m. Sunday on state Route 255 south of Irishtown Road in Fox Township, Elk County. Troopers attempted to conduct a routine traffic stop on a Chevrolet S10 truck. A 26-year-old Weedville man refused to stop, when a marked patrol vehicle’s visual and audible signals were activated.
The man allegedly continued to travel south on SR 255 toward Byrnedale. Â During the 15-mile pursuit, he allegedly violated numerous traffic violations. He then pulled into his residence, where he was taken into custody. The man was arraigned on the following charges: fleeing and eluding; DUI; and related summary offenses. He was released on $5,000 bail.
