Police reported an incident of harassment at 11:03 p.m. Saturday at Conklin’s Corner in Rush Township, Centre County. Following a domestic dispute, a Bellefonte man was cited for harassment for allegedly shoving his girlfriend to the ground. Troopers also discovered that the female who was involved was intoxicated and not 21 years of age. She will be charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor. Charges are to be filed through the district court in Philipsburg.
Police reported a hit-and-run accident at 1:55 a.m. Saturday in the parking lot of RJ’s Pub in Philipsburg Borough, Centre County. Thomas Buynak, 59, of Osceola Mills had pulled into the parking lot and came to a stop. At the same time, a 32-year-old St. Marys man was leaving the parking lot and ran into the left front of the Buynak vehicle, causing significant damage to his own vehicle. Witnesses attempted to keep the St. Marys man at the scene until police arrival. However, the man fled the scene but was positively identified by a witness. Charges are currently pending; the incident is still under investigation.
