Police Report: Sandy Township

When they left the store the evening prior, Dollar General Store employees told police on Monday that they discovered several pumpkins, which were for sale at Save-A-Lot on the ground. They advised police that they were damaged.
A 51-year-old Pifer Road man reported damage to a tree that is located off of Maloney Road.
On Tuesday, a Mapledale Road man reported that he fell asleep while driving on Rich Highway. His vehicle then traveled off the road and struck a guide rail. No injuries were reported; the vehicle was driven from the scene.
A black, husky dog was found running in the area of Frito Lay on Tuesday.
A DuBois man reported that while in the area of Platt Road on Tuesday, a semi-truck lost its muffler, which flew back and struck the right, front tire. The truck driver left the scene without stopping.
