University Park, Pa. — On Monday, Oct. 18, Penn State students will be able to secure their spot in one of two specially designated student sections for the Nittany Lions’ game vs. Indiana at FedExField on Nov 20. The sale will begin at 10 a.m. at the Bryce Jordan Center, and will also offer the option for students to reserve round-trip bus transportation from University Park to FedExField on game day. The student bus trip option is being offered via Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics.
The student ticket sale for the FedExField match-up will run through 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 17, or when game tickets are no longer available, whichever comes first.
Student tickets are $95 for a lower level seat or $60 for an upper level seat in the Penn State student sections. There is a limit of one ticket per student and all students must present their own valid Penn State student ID at the time of purchase. Similar to other Penn State road contests, students wishing to sit together must plan to go to the BJC together to purchase their tickets.
Tickets and bus transportation packages for students are priced at $99 (lower level seats plus bus transportation from University Park) and $69 (upper level seats plus bus transportation from University Park). Only students holding a bus ticket and game ticket will be permitted to board the busses on game day. All bus transportation will leave University Park early on November 20 from a location to be determined and will return immediately following the game. Departure times will be based on the game’s kick-off time, which has not yet been set.
The purchase of all FedExField tickets now also benefits a great cause. Beginning Friday, Oct. 1, the NFL’s Washington Redskins began to generously donate five percent of ticket sales generated for the Penn State vs. Indiana game (up to a maximum of $150,000) to Penn State’s Dance Marathon. THON, the nation’s largest student-run philanthropic event, benefits The Four Diamonds Fund and pediatric cancer research at the Hershey Medical Center.
Monday will also be the student ticket sale for the Oct. 23 Minnesota game. That sale will begin at 7 a.m. For rules and policies regarding the Minnesota student ticket sale, please refer to the Away Game information at Student Central (http://www.gopsusports.com/studentcentral/away-game-info-2010.html).
Public tickets for the FedExField game and select remaining home games are available online now at www.GoPSUsports.com/tickets or www.ticketmaster.com. Tickets can also be purchased by phone Monday-Friday between the hours of 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. by calling (814) 865-5555.
