CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr., announced Clearfield County’s Fugitive of the Week for the week of October 11, 2010. Shaw identified the Fugitive as Michael Wayne Blauser, Jr., age 29, of South Brady Street, DuBois, Pennsylvania.
Shaw stated that Blauser is wanted for failure to appear at Arraignment Court on Oct. 1, 2010.
On August 10, 2010, Officer Steve Maholtz, of the DuBois City Police Department, filed a criminal complaint charging Blauser with: 1) driving under the influence of alcohol, M; and 2) turning movements and required signals, S.
An affidavit of probable Cause filed by Maholtz states that at approximately 8:20 pm on June 5, 2010, the DuBois City Police stopped a vehicle operated by Blauser after observing vehicle code violations. Upon observing Blauser, Maholtz detected signs of intoxication and requested Blauser to perform standard field sobriety tests. After administering the field sobriety tests, Blauser was transported to the DuBois Regional Medical Center for a blood test.
A Preliminary Hearing was held on Sept. 10, 2010, at which time all charges were held to court. On October 1, 2010, Blauser failed to appear for Arraignment Court and a warrant was issued for Blauser’s arrest.
