William F. Laney, 24 of Philipsburg, passed away as a result of complications due to cystic fibrosis on Oct. 7 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.
Born Nov. 30, 1985, he was the son of Kay V. Lamey, who survives in Philipsburg.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Lee Lamey.
He is survived by his mother, sister Alicia Gunsallu of Philipsburg, grandmother Virginia (Welker) Lamey of Lamar and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Oct. 13, at 8:30 p.m. at the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home 719 E. Spruce St., Philipsburg, with the Rev. Timothy D. Richmond officiating. The family will receive friends on Oct. 13 from 7-8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
