Police reported a two-vehicle accident on state Route 219 in the area of the Brockport Post Office in Horton Township, Elk County. A 55-year-old Grampian woman was traveling south on SR 219. Her vehicle crossed over the lane of travel at which time another operated by Ronald Meredith, 50, of Brockway attempted to avoid her vehicle by moving off the roadway. However, her vehicle struck the driver’s side of the Meredith vehicle. Both vehicles came to a rest off the roadway. The investigation revealed that the woman caused the mishap, as she took her eyes off the roadway. Traffic violations are to be filed against the woman. No injuries were reported.
Police reported an incident of criminal mischief that occurred sometime between 9 p.m. Friday and 8:45 p.m. Sunday at a residence along Ruffner Lane in Fox Township, Elk County. A person(s) damaged an inflatable Halloween decoration, which was valued at approximately $60, at a 28-year-old Kersey woman’s residence. Police reported an incident of harassment at approximately 11:01 p.m. Monday at the Johnsonburg Elementary School parking lot in Ridgway Township, Elk County. A 39-year-old Johnsonburg man was stopped and threatened by a 49-year-old Johnsonburg man, which allegedly served no legitimate purpose. Charges were filed through the district court.
