Ethel I. “Pat” Ross, 79 of Falls Creek died Thursday at the DuBois Nursing Home.
Born on March 15, 1931 in Ipswich, England, she was the daughter of the late James and Kate (Bradley) Cocker. She was a member of St. Bernard Roman Catholic Church, where she helped with many spaghetti dinners. She worked at the Jackson China Company in Falls Creek until it closing. She then worked at the Main Street Riverside Bi-Lo in the Deli for 11 years. She also enjoyed gardening, playing cards and animals.
On May 27, 1957, she married Joseph R. Ross, whom survives and lives in Falls Creek.
She is survived by four children, Mrs. Sam (Genetta) Bailley of Falls Creek; Joseph J. Ross and his wife, Cheryl of Brockway; Patricia Minns of Falls Creek; and Gina Ross of Clearwater.
She is survived by two sisters, Jessie Squirrel and Mavis Reed, both of Ipswich, England and one brother, James Cocker of Ipswich, England. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Charles Cocker.
There will be a private family visitation.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at the St. Bernard Roman Catholic Church in Falls Creek, with the Fr. Marc Stockton as celebrant. Burial will be in the Taylor Cemetery, Falls Creek.
