Chicago — The Big Ten Network will televise eight Big Ten football games on Saturday, including the Penn State-Temple clash at 3:30 p.m. from Beaver Stadium. The contest with the unbeaten Owls also will air on the Penn State Sports Network and www.GoPSUsports.com.
Iowa, Michigan State, Northwestern, Purdue and Wisconsin play at noon ET on the Big Ten Network, followed by Penn State-Temple. Indiana kicks at 7 p.m. and Minnesota kicks off at 8:30 p.m. ET on the network, which will have approximately 12 consecutive hours of live, football game coverage.
The No. 23/20 Nittany Lions will be making their second appearance this season on Big Ten Network. Penn State will play at least one, if not multiple, conference games on the network this fall, as will every Big Ten team. Big Ten Network televised four Penn State football games in 2009.
The Big Ten Network is available to more than 75 million homes across the United States and Canada, and has agreements with more than 300 affiliates. The network is available in more than 90 percent of the homes in the eight Big Ten states and 19 of the nation’s top 20 markets.
The network, though, is not carried by Adams, Blue Ridge and MetroCast cable in Pennsylvania. The network also is not available to Armstrong Cable customers in western Pennsylvania and suburban Youngstown, Ohio. A combined total of more than 35,000 Penn State alumni live in communities served by the four cable providers, in addition to thousands more fans and current Penn State students.

The Nittany Lions and Owls will be meeting for the 40th time on Saturday. Temple is 3-0 for the first time since 1979, under the direction of head coach Al Golden, a former Penn State co-captain and assistant coach.
