CLEARFIELD – “Counting Our Blessings” is the theme of an upcoming Ministry & Mission Fair slated for Oct. 3 at 9:30 a.m. at the Clearfield Presbyterian Church on 119 North Second St. in Clearfield. Members of the congregation and area residents interested in viewing the various projects and services which the Church offers are invited to attend.
“Church members will be on hand to answer questions about the time, talents and treasures our congregation gives to the Glory of God,” Pastor Rob Mellgard explained, adding, “We need to do more to count our blessings & spread the word about our work.”
Just a few of the 12 groups that will be on hand are: Missions, which includes the Presbyterian Hammers Construction Team, Operation Christmas Child Shoe Boxes; Christian Education will highlight Vacation Bible School themes for this past year and next year’s Hawaiian theme. The Women’s Association has many Circles which hold ongoing Dinners and sponsor the annual Church Bazaar, Mother/Daughter Banquet. SPY (Senior High Presbyterian Youth) will focus on their Lawn Assault – kids helping residents with outdoor chores program. The Worship & Music table will feature information on joining the Church Choir as well as highlight the beautiful Community Christmas Cantata which takes place every year. These are just a sampling of the myriad of projects happening at the church. The event is to inform those who attend of the actual accomplishments and the vision of the church. There will be a continental breakfast provided and all are welcome!!
