JULIAN – A Bellefonte man is facing aggravated assault charges pending an incident on Saturday night.
According to the state police in Philipsburg, a 23-year-old Bellefonte man approached two Julian men at a party. He was asked to leave and did so without an incident. Police said that he returned a short time later with knives and scissors. Police indicated that he approached the two men brandishing a knife. A physical altercation occurred and the two Julian men were stabbed in their right hands.
The Bellefonte man was disarmed and held until police arrived.
Charges of aggravated assault, simple assault and reckless endangerment were prepared and the Bellefonte man was placed in Centre County Jail pending arraignment.
