JAMES CITY – a 31-year-old James City man has been charged with simple assault and harassment following a dispute at 10:50 p.m. Sunday in Highland Township, Elk County, the Ridgway State Police reported.
Police identified the suspect as Jayson H. Ewing, 31, of James City. According to the incident report, Ewing allegedly pointed a rifle at a known 42-year-old James City female while the two were engaged in a dispute.
No further information was provided in the police report. Ewing was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Donald A. Wilhelm. He was released on $5,000 bail.
