CLEARFIELD – Get along, little doggies and head with your humans for the Mountain Laurel Kennel Club’s K9 Rodeo on Oct. 2 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Expo II in the Clearfield Driving Park for a day of fun, food and activities.

According to organizers, the event will offer wagonloads of good times for dogs and their humans while raising funds for the club’s service and education projects.

Games and prizes, a costume contest, food from the Chuck Wagon, a western-themed agility course, pet photos and caricatures, a microchip clinic and displays by rescue groups and animal welfare organizations will be featured throughout the day.

“We hope everyone will put on their cowboy hats and boots and dress their dogs up, too, and join us for a great day,” said MLKC President Denise Long.

The rodeo schedule is:

10 a.m. –Â doors open, admission is $1 per person. Dogsare admitted free but must be leashed and their licenses and shots up to date.
Â
10 a.m. and on the hour until 3 p.m. – various canine games with prizes sponsored by Waggin’ trains pet supply.
Â
10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. – microchip clinic sponsored by National Brittany Rescue, $20 fee per microchip.
Â
1:30 p.m. – pet costume contest with prizes sponsored by Waggin’ Trains pet supply.
Â
All day – informative and awareness displays, Chuck Wagon food and beverages, agility course, photos by Rick Evans (prices vary), and caricatures by Neil McMillin, $10 each.
