CLEARFIELD — The Clearfield boy’s and girl’s cross country teams began their season on Thursday hosting a quadrangular with Indian Valley, Hollidaysburg, and Central Mountain.
The girls were able to salvage a 1-2 day, while the boys were swept 0-3.
The girls beat Central Mountain 15-50, and lost to Indian Valley 39-23 and Hollidaysburg 39-31. The boys scores were 50-15 to Indian Valley, 41-19 to Hollidaysburg, and 33-22 to Central Mountain.
Both teams will head to the Harry Groves Spiked Shoe Invitational in State College on Saturday, then continue the dual meet season on the road against Penns Valley and Central on Tuesday.
