Zoe A. Levin, 97 of Glen Richey, PA and most recently of Clearfield, PA, passed away Sept. 3, 2010 at Mt. Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Clearfield, PA.
Born on Oct. 9, 1912 in Olanta, PA, she was the daughter of Asbury and Artensa (Swatsworth) McKee.
Upon raising her children, Mrs. Levin was employed as a dietician for the Clearfield Area Schools.
Mrs. Levin was a lifetime member of the Glen Richey Presbyterian Church, where she was an active volunteer. She was a Sunday school teacher and was an elder of the church.
Mrs. Levin was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Lawrence Grange and the Retired School Employee’s Association.
She was an avid quilter and enjoyed antiquing and dancing.
Mrs. Levin is survived by three children: Roger Levin and his wife Barbara of Deep Creek, MD, Keith Levin and his wife Norma of Clearfield, PA and Carole Levin Leadbeater and her husband Harold of Haddon Heights, NJ; nine grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren and one sister, Ida Norris of Curwensville, PA.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband P. Venard Levin, whom she married in June of 1935 and who passed away, Jan. 22, 1993 and four brothers, Edward, Eldon, Lavoine, and Howard McKee.
Funeral services will be held on Sept. 8 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc., 312 E. Locust Street, PA with Pastor Leanne M. Gill Peters officiating. Interment will follow in the Bloomington Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on September 7 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of services.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Glen Richey Presbyterian Church.
