DUBOIS – DuBois area drivers should expect nighttime delays this week as work continues on a countywide roadway project. No work will occur on Monday in observance of the Labor Day holiday. Work will begin on Tuesday, Sept. 7. Work next week includes:
- Milling on US Route 219/state Route 255 (Bee Line Highway) in the DuBois area from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, and possibly Thursday.
- Milling on US Route 219 (Brady Street) from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Thursday, if work schedule allows.Â
Traffic delays are likely. Drivers could encounter stopped or slowed traffic through the work areas, and motorists should be alert for roadway flaggers. Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes if possible.Â
The week of Sept. 13, drivers can expect daytime work for traffic signal loop installation. The week of Sept. 20, drivers can expect nighttime work for final paving. PennDOT will issue travel alert reminders as work progresses.
New Enterprise Stone and Lime Company is the contractor on this $6 million project, which covers numerous routes across Clearfield County. All work is weather dependent. PennDOT expects the work on this contract to be finished in October.Â
PennDOT reminds motorists they can log on to 511pa.com or call 511 from any phone to check traffic conditions before heading out.
