COVINGTON TOWNSHIP – A Covington Township fire was ruled accidental in nature following a fire marshal investigation, the Clearfield State Police reported.
According to the report, the fire marshal of the Ridgway State Police barracks conducted an investigation into the origin and cause. He advised that the fire, which occurred at 6:36 p.m. Friday on Indian Springs Road, destroyed a 30-foot by 90-foot, wooden frame garage with a 12-foot by 60-foot addition.
Police reported that there were no injuries as a result of the fire. However, they estimated that the fire caused $120,000 worth of damage. No further information was provided.
