– Police reported an incident of access device fraud at 9 a.m. Wednesday on River Road in Jay Township, Elk County. A person(s) allegedly obtained a 42-year-old Weedville woman’s debit card information and accessed her checking account. No further information was provided in the report.
– Police reported a driving under the influence accident at 9:30 p.m. Saturday on Krise Road near its intersection with state Route 948 in Fox Township, Elk County. A 20-year-old Weedville man was traveling on Krise Road and approaching its intersection with SR 948.
At that time, the man’s vehicle traveled off the roadway, striking another, which was legally parked on Krise Road. The man was determined to have been under the influence of alcohol following a preliminary investigation.
As a result, he was arrested for DUI/purchase, consumption, possession or transportation of liquor or malt or brewed beverages. He was taken for blood testing at the Elk Regional Health Center. Charges are to be filed for DUI and related summary traffic violations through the district court.
Charges are also to be filed against an 18-year-old Kersey female who was a passenger in the vehicle. She will face a non-traffic citation for purchase, consumption, possession or transportation of liquor or malt or brewed beverages.
