Clare S. Miller, 94, of Chester Hill, died Friday at Colonial Courtyard, Clearfield. She was the last of her generation.
Born on Dec. 6, 1915 in Hastings, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Anna (Schrift) Kibler. She was a member of the St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Philipsburg.
Mrs. Miller was a homemaker.
She wed W. Byron Miller on July 29, 1937 at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Hastings. He preceded her in death on April 14, 2001.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by one daughter, Gloria Ann Miller and nine brothers and sisters.
She was survived by a daughter, Donna J. (Miller) White of Morrisdale and a son, Barry R. Millerand his wife Debra of DuBois. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren, 10 grandchildren, five great great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Philipsburg, with the Rev. Robert J. Kelly celebrant. Interment will be at the St. Bemard’s Cemetery, Hastings.
Visitation will be held from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. Sunday at the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home, Philipsburg.
A vigil service and the recitation of the Rosary will be conducted by the Rev. Robert J. Kelly at 2:30 p.m., both on Sunday at the funeral home.
