Betty J. Striegel, 83, of Orient Avenue, DuBois, died Saturday at Mountain Laurel Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield.
Born on Aug. 22, 1926 in Pine Station, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Elizabeth (Knarr) Conser. She was a member of the Gospel Center, Reynoldsville.
Mrs. Striegel was a homemaker and a private duty nurse in our area for many years.
On Feb. 17, 1953, she married Lowell F. Striegel. He preceded her in death on Jan. 5, 2005. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Timothy Lee Striegel; and a sister, Alicia Siervogel).
She is survived by three children, Thomas Geyer of DuBois; Mrs. David (Pam) McKee of DuBois; and Jeffrey L. Striegel of Falls Creek; two sisters, June Lapp of Pine Station and Mary McLean of Lock Haven; and a brother, Richard Conser of Lock Haven. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 6 – 8 p.m. Monday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, with the Rev. Robert Myers officiating, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Luthersburg Union Cemetery.
