CLEARFIELD – Clearfield Borough Council accepted the resignation of one of their own on Thursday night.
John Naddeo, representative of Second Ward, informed council through a letter that he was resigning. He stated that he was moving out of Second Ward and would no longer be able to represent the ward. Naddeo, who served as council’s representative on the Clearfield Borough Planning Commission, indicated that he would like to continue serving on the commission.
Council members Fred Wisor and Jim Leitzinger both said they accepted the resignation with deep regret. Council approved his resignation unanimously. Council also approved appointing Naddeo to the borough’s planning commission, which had two open positions.
“He is an asset to that committee,” said Wisor.
Naddeo also served as vice-president of council. Those members present voted for Susan Reed to serve in that capacity.
Council is accepting letters of interest from those who wish to fill the position. Interested individuals have until Aug. 30 to contact the borough office.
