CLEARFIELD – Bridge work is set to begin next week along Route 2021 (Gearhartville Road) in Decatur Township, Clearfield County. The work will necessitate the installation of a detour for the length of the project.
Work will begin Aug. 23, on a bridge near the Route 2021 intersection with Dorian Road. Work is slated for completion by the end of October. The detour will be posted for the duration of the project.
Crews will complete steel and concrete repairs on the bridge and reseal the bridge decks. The bridge will also be painted.
The L.C. Whitford Company, Inc. of Wellsville, New York, is the contractor for this bridge, which is part of a $4.1 million, 27-bridge project in several PennDOT District 2 counties.
