CLEARFIELD – Comedy Central star and YouTube phenomenon Jeff Dunham had the full attention of fairgoers as he brought comedy to the stage of the Clearfield County Fair at a 9 p.m. show on Saturday August 7.
The show opened with entertainment brought by Brian Haner “the Guitar Guy” who sang “Fist Fighting at the Waffle House” and “Arizona”, a humorous song about immigration, along with other musical numbers. Haner’s comical songs were followed by Dunham’s act, which featured his notoriously famous puppet characters: Walter, a grouchy retiree; Achmed the dead terrorist; Peanut, a hyper purple monkey; and José Jalapeño, a spicy personality on a stick.
The combination of Dunham’s uncanny ventriloquist abilities along with his anecdotes on everything from his Miley Cyrus concert experience and his love life made for a humorous night that kept audience members watching.
