Viola M. Miknis, Age 80, of Miknis Road, Luthersburg, PA died Aug. 3, 2010 at the DuBois Regional Medical Center.
Born on June 23, 1930 in Brady Township, PA, she was the daughter of the late Eugene “Jack” & Arvilla (Swartzlander) Hartzfeld.
She was married to William C. Miknis. He preceded her in death in 1975.
She was a homemaker and a former member of the Brady Township Ladies Auxiliary.
She was a 1948 graduate of the Brady Township High School. She enjoyed crafts, gardening, and watching her hummingbirds.
She enjoyed phone visits and personal visits with all.
She is survived by 2 sons (Bill Miknis and his wife Judy of Navarre, OH, and Kevin Miknis and wife Cindy of Grampian, PA) a daughter (Carol DeLarme of DuBois, PA) 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She is also survived by 3 sisters (Betty Price of DuBois, PA, Mrs. Charles (Mary) Gilbert of Amherst, NY, and Mrs. Alan (Rebecca) Spencer of Luthersburg, PA), & 4 brothers (Howard Hartzfeld and his wife Mary Alice of Erie, PA; James Hartzfeld and his wife Kathy of Punxsutawney, PA; Glenn Hartzfeld and his wife Sandy of Luthersburg, PA; and Llyn Hartzfeld and his wife Donna of Luthersburg, PA)
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and 2 brothers (George & Robert Hartzfeld) 2 sisters (Helen Hartzfeld & Roberta Berger)
Visitation will be on Aug. 5 from 2-4 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. from the Goble Baronick Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held on Aug. 6 at 11 a.m. from the Goble Baronick Funeral Home with Pastor Katherine Douglass officiating.
Burial will be in Salem Lutheran Evangelical Church Cemetery in Luthersburg, PA.
