Police report a hit and run that occurred on July 30 at 4:35 p.m. on Interstate 80 in Boggs Township. The two vehicle crash occurred as Richard Dines’ vehicle was traveling in the right lane on Interstate 80 westbound and Todd Hower’s vehicle was passing in the left lane. Dines’ vehicle drifted over into the right side of Hower’s Ford Explorer and continued traveling. Both vehicles were able to be driven from the collision scene and there were no injuries involved.
Police report a theft from a motor vehicle that occurred between July 26 and July 30 at a location on Blue Ball Road in Boggs Township. The incident occurred as suspect(s) removed a tool box containing miscellaneous tools, 6 micrometers Bearcat scanner, and 3 hot wheel cars from the victim’s Dodge pick-up truck while it was parked. Estimated value of the theft is $1100.
Police report an incident of criminal mischief that occurred between July 11 and July 30 at Summit Hill Road in Graham Township. The incident occurred as unknown suspect(s) used a 4×4 vehicle to put (6) 20 feet long tire ruts in the victim’s grass field. The investigation continues.

Police report a theft from a motor vehicle that occurred on July 31 between 8:00 p.m. and 12:00 midnight at Cooney’s in Cooper Township. Unknown suspect(s) removed the registration plate from the victim’s motorcycle.
Police responded to an incident of disorderly conduct on July 31 at a location on Buchanan Street in the village of New Millport in Knox Township. Robin Shomo was cited for disorderly conduct following a disturbance at the location. The accused used obscene language repeatedly in public. A citation was filed at District Court 46-3-04 in Houtzdale.
Police report a Checkpoint Strike Force Initiative that took place during July on roadways within Clearfield County that have a high incidence of alcohol related crashes. On July 31 a Sobriety Checkpoint was conducted that resulted in 3 DUI arrests, 1 misdemeanor arrest for small amounts of Marijuana, 9 traffic arrests, and 12 warnings issued for traffic offenses. Troop C Pennsylvania State Police Members and Clearfield County DUI Strike Force Members were involved.
Police report an incident of access device fraud that occurred between 8:00 a.m. on July 21 and 5:00 p.m. on July 27 at Pauline Street in the Philipsburg Borough. In the commission of this crime, unknown suspect(s) utilized victim’s access device card information to make unauthorized purchase(s) totaling $540.00. The investigation is continuing.
Police report another incident of access device fraud that occurred on July 29 at 4:31 a.m. at Miles Grove Road in Huston Township. State Police investigated an incident in which an unauthorized charge was placed on the resident’s check card.
